HOW TO REGISTER
Attendance at an ICANN Public Meeting is free to the public, but does require registration to view the schedule. You may attend all sessions and events, unless otherwise indicated on the schedule.
Don't forget to "Opt In" for emails if you want to receive information about ICANN meetings. These emails can include invitations to join special functions and the ICANN Newsletter. ICANN will not sell or share your name or email address with third parties for commercial or marketing purposes.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE VIRTUALLY
After completing the meeting registration, to participate in any session, please visit the schedule page and navigate to your chosen session. Most sessions during ICANN Public Meeting will utilize a standard Zoom Meeting, which allows up to 500 participants to join. Features include the ability to unmute your microphone as needed, type in chat, and view documents and shared video. A handful of sessions, including the Public Forums, will operate as Zoom Webinars. These webinars are capable of accommodating more participants than a standard Zoom Meeting.
To join a session’s Zoom room, simply visit the schedule and navigate to the session of your choice. In the description, you will find the Zoom link listed under Participation Links . We have also published a quick guide on how to use Zoom, which is available here. Live language interpretation will be provided in multiple languages in select sessions. ICANN has now integrated remote simultaneous interpretation (RSI) into Zoom. More information on how to use this new feature is available here.
We want the ICANN Public Meeting to be as productive as possible, and are confident that these options for remote participation will give you the tools you need to get things done and collaborate effectively. If you have any questions or concerns about participating remotely, please don’t hesitate to reach out at mts@icann.org.

NEW TO ICANN - NEWCOMER RESOURCES
As you begin your engagement with ICANN, keep in mind that everyone was a newcomer once. We have all felt overwhelmed at times when looking at the ICANN website or participating in an ICANN meeting for the first time, trying to understand all of the parts and pieces that make up the ICANN community. For resources for newcomers, visit www.icann.org/newcomers.
In order for newcomers to gain an understanding of ICANN’s mission and the bottom-up, multistakeholder model that supports it, we have included some key areas of the website to explore. In addition, you will learn how you can start to participate in important work that affects you, your region, and the global Internet space.
As you continue your journey, a glossary of terms will be helpful in order to better understand some of the words and concepts. You can research the various acronyms and terms in multiple languages here.
Welcome to the ICANN community, and if you have any questions about how to start participating in ICANN or would like assistance in connecting with the staff or community, please email us at engagement@icann.org.
